Realizing the pointlessness of their mission, Frylock instead changed the jet’s course and ended up in Africa, where they tried to solve world hunger. The three tried to help a small village but were feared by the locals and then relocated to New Jersey, where they currently reside.

Along with their neighbor, Carl Brutananadilewski, whose pool they often uses without permission, the Aqua Teen Hunger Force set out to solve local mysteries but usually failed due to their laziness. When a mystery was solved, Master Shake usually took all the credit while also claiming to be the leader of the team.

Soon, the Aqua Teen Hunger Force gave up crime solving because of the low pay, but they still continue to reside in New Jersey. Despite trying to live normal lives, the team still has adventures that defy the ordinary.

The team still comes across Dr. Weird, and his assistant, Steve and their various strange creations as well inhabitants of the moon named Ignigknot and Err, who believe themselves superior to the people of Earth.
