Mage is a comic mini-series which tells the story of a young man named Kevin Matchstick. Matchstick believes he is just an ordinary guy, but is informed by a wizard named Mirth (the titular mage) that he is actually a mythic hero with extraordinary abilities. Mage deals heavily with the idea of what of the hero archetype—many of the characters are representations of mythic figures.
