To complicate manners a man named Sylar begins killing super-humans and stealing their abilities. Motivated by his own purposes, he plans on becoming all powerful. A mysterious man in glasses is also introduced kidnapping and tracking people with powers while working for a secret company.

Over the next few seasons new characters are introduced, the history of the Company is slowly revealed and new threats face our heroes including deadly viruses and new villains. You learn more about the characters past and experience their family dynamics, relationship drama and struggles to lead a normal life.

Episodes of Heroes are paced similar to reading a comic book. Short, character driven episodes are combined to tell a much bigger multi-layered story. Heroes was nominated for multiple awards including Emmy Awards and Golden Globes. Heroes expanded into additional media with the inclusion of NBC exclusive webisodes, graphic novels, and interactive websites.
