In the year 2029, planet Earth was a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The artificial intelligence known as Skynet ruled over the world with an army of machines determined to eliminate humanity from the face of the Earth. Mankind’s survival was placed on the shoulders of John Connor, leader of the Resistance against the machines. Skynet attempted to prevent the birth of John Connor by sending an agent back in time to assassinate John’s mother, Sarah Connor. <>Skynet’s assassin was the T-800 model Terminator, a cyborg assassin capable of disguising itself as a human. The T-800 series main characteristics were: A metal endoskeleton, false flesh, proficiency with any weapon and the calculated, singular drive to relentlessly pursue its pray. Sarah Connor succeeded in destroying the initial Terminator with the help of a time traveling resistance member, Kyle Reese, who lost his life protecting Sarah. ...Show More
Skynet’s second attempt to kill John Connor was during his youth. The weapon of Skynet’s choice this go-round was an updated Terminator model, the T-1000. This model was made of liquid metal, granting it the ability to mimic the appearance and characteristics of anyone it killed. This liquid metal could also solidify, allowing the T-1000 to extend deadly, bladed protrusions from its body. The T-1000 was highly durable and could regenerate from any attack unless subjected to extreme heat, which caused its body to lose consistency. The Connor’s defeated this deadlier model with the help of a familiar looking T-800, reprogrammed and sent to the past by John’s future self.
Skynet’s last effort to change the future involved killing as many Resistance officers as possible. The Terminator model sent to achieve this was the T-X, also known as the Terminatrix. The Terminatrix was a composite of the T-800 and T-1000 models. It possessed liquid metal capabilities along with an endoskeleton to protect it against extreme heat. This particular Terminator model was only truly susceptible to internal injuries. Once again, John Connor was protected by a reprogrammed Terminator model that destroyed the Terminatrix.Show Less
