Princess Zelda, a stern opponent of the wizard Gannon, also possesses a piece of the Triforce. She managed to acquire the Triforce of Wisdom. Knowing the evil that would be wrought upon her family’s kingdom if Ganon obtained another piece of the Triforce, Princess Zelda does all that she can to prevent him from attaining another component. Sometimes she will split up and hide her portion of the Triforce and other times she’ll use her power to aid forces that would help her battle the evil sorcerer. Her opposition usually leads to her imprisonment by the wizard Ganon.
When the princess is imprisoned she places all her hope on the humble yet brave young warrior Link. Link, the rightful bearer of the Triforce of Courage, must rely on his wits and various magical weapons that he acquires throughout his journey.
