Two women living with cancer -- one in the prime of her life and one in her twilight years -- cross paths and discover the healing power of friendship, faith and love. Beautiful and compassionate Amber Connors (Emmy Award-nominee Lauren Holly) befriends irritable Betty Miller (Academy Award-winner Faye Dunaway). Jilted decades before by old flame Johnny Pinkley (Emmy Award-winner Tom Skerritt), Betty is reluctant to forgive his past indiscretions and let him back into her life. Meanwhile, Amber has a romantic dilemma of her own with a dashing but troubled younger man named Jason Kelly (Ian Somerhalder, Rules of Attraction, Life as a House). Weaving in and out of Amber and Betty's lives are well-meaning but ditzy Nurse Rollins (Edie McClurg, Ferris Bueller's Day Off) and a chorus of meddling, do-gooder church ladies (including Janet Carroll, Risky Business).
